Apple announced recently that they sold over 1 million iPads. This comes as no surprise really, as most of the recent Apple products have been wildly popular. The significant factor here is that Apple has sold this first million within 28 days, which is simply incredible. Apple has announced that over 12 million applications have been downloaded and more importantly, over 1.5 million electronic books. Apple has stormed into the electronic book arena and is trying to climb to that number one spot, the only question is, when will it happen?

Amazon has reached an agreement with Target stores to place the Kindle 2 in 102 retail stores this month (starting Sunday). This will include demo models to handle before buying. Target is placing the Kindles in their flagship downtown Minneapolis Target as well as 102 specially chosen South Florida locations, which means only one thing...they are going after the older demographic. The types of people who would prefer not to shop online and prefer to touch a product before buying. No word yet on when they will be available in the rest of the stores.

It's finally here everyone...the infamous Alex eBook reader that we though would never see the light of day. This beauty is sporting a regular 6" e-paper display screen up top and a 3.5" color touchscreen below. We would love to play with one, but we can not justify the $399 price tag for a eBook/internet browsing gadget when there are better alternatives around.

Head on over to www.springdesign.com and get yours today?
