The thing we love most about eBooks Readers is not the convenience of wireless delivery or the joy of having yet another screen glued to our hands, it is the fact that thousands of books are available for free. This guide will help you find ebooks for you to enjoy without having to spend a penny on them.

Most of these websites hold old, old of print, out of copyright or public domain books. If you are looking for the newest release book, you most likely will not find it here. I would recommend heading to Amazon.

Note: We are a big fan of Project Gutenberg and suggest you start there on your search, Project Gutenberg is a non-profit website while the others are mostly for-profit.

This is a fantastic eBook site. Incredible personal library of the "Burgomeister", scanned and uploaded onto the internet, for your pleasure. This is probably the most extensive personal book collection that is on the internet and it is operated by one person. That being said, you will need to check the laws of your country as some of these books are not out-of-copyright in the United States and most countries.

Contains over 800 electronic books. These books are not available for download but they are available for viewing with a web browser. Most are copyright expired books as well.

This has a listing of over 20,000 books, you will have to deal with some advertisements on the page though.

Nicely laid out website with thousands of free eBooks available for download. Most seem to be user submitted eBooks.

Bookboon online textbooks for students in PDF format. The free ebooks can be downloaded without registration. The books listed on the site are legal and written exclusively for Bookboon. In order to provide free ebooks, they place a few advertisements in their publications.
